MnDOT installs new pedestrian ramps in New Auburn and Darfur
MANKATO, Minn. – Motorists and pedestrians will experience minimal traffic and sidewalk delays along Hwy 22 in New Auburn and Hwy 30 in Darfur as crews replace the pedestrian ramps.
Work will take place between Aug. 26 and mid-September, weather permitting.
Crews will replace seven ramps in Darfur and five ramps in New Auburn. These new ramps are part of the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s efforts to improve accessibility for pedestrians crossing state highways.
Ti-Zack Concrete Inc. is the contractor for the $72,320 project.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
