Detour changes for Hwy 60 construction in Worthington
Traffic switched from Nobles County Road 35 to Nobles County Road 33
MANKATO, Minn. – A minor change to the Hwy 60 detour in Worthington will take place June 22 to prepare for the construction of a new Union Pacific Railroad Bridge over Hwy 60.
Instead of using Nobles County Road 35, the detour will extend north along Nobles County Road 5 to Nobles County Road 33 for the remainder of the year. The rest of the phase three construction from Nobles County Road 35 to Interstate 90 is currently scheduled to begin in 2012.
The replacement of the railroad bridge by Lunda Construction Company is part of the Hwy 60 expansion from Bigelow to I-90 in Worthington.
R & G Construction Company of Marshall is the prime contractor for the Paul Avenue to Nobles County Road 35 segment.
Mathiowetz Construction of Sleepy Eye is prime contractor for the rural segment from Nobles County Road 4 to Paul Avenue.
