Travel Advisory: Highway 93 from Henderson to Highway 169 closed due to flooding
MANKATO, Minn.- (8 a.m.) The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota State Patrol closed Highway 93 from Henderson to Highway 169 at 7 a.m. due to flooding.
Traffic will be detoured to Highway 19. Motorists should be advised that Highway 19 also has the potential to flood and to pay attention to signing in the area of Henderson.
Highway 93 will remain closed until further notice.
Motorists should plan accordingly. When a road is closed it is illegal to travel in that area. Motorists can be fined up to $1,000 and/or 90 days in jail. In addition, if travelers need to be rescued from a closed road, other expenses and penalties will apply.
