I-90 rest areas near Jackson close today for parking lot improvements
Location
Two Interstate 90 safety rest areas west of Jackson (Des Moines and Clear Lake).
Timeframe
Beginning Monday, Sept. 21, for about two weeks.
Traffic Impact
Both eastbound and westbound rest areas will be closed. The next closest rest areas on I-90 are located at Adrian and Blue Earth, approximately 45 miles from the Jackson area.
Project information
The project consists of resurfacing the parking area and making improvements to the sidewalks for easier accessibility.
