Mn/DOT offers Highway 60 update Aug. 11
MANKATO, Minn. - Individuals interested in a progress update on the Highway 60 expansion between Bigelow and I-90 in Worthington are invited to an open house on Tuesday, Aug. 11 from 4 - 6 p.m. in the Farmers Room of the Nobles County Courthouse.
Representatives from the Mankato office of the Minnesota Department of Transportation will review plans and provide updates on the status of the designs and property acquisition. While there have been no major changes in the plans, Mn/DOT hopes to address residents’ concerns prior to the Worthington City Council municipal consent public hearing.
The schedule for Highway 60 is:
Project 1 (Bigelow bypass to Paul Ave)
Design Decisions - Complete
Property Acquisition - In progress (2008-2010)
Construction - 2010-11
Project 2 (Paul Ave to County Rd 35)
Design Decisions - Essentially Complete
Property Acquisition - In progress (2009-11)
Construction - 2011-12
Project 3 (County Rd 35 - I-90)
Design Decisions - Mostly Complete (RR bridge work remains)
Property Acquisition - In progress (2009-12)
Construction - 2012-13
