Highway 30 construction in Mapleton to start May 4
MANKATO, Minn. -
Location:
Highway 30 from the west edge of Mapleton to the junction with Highway 22
Project Time frame:
April 28 to June 2010
Traffic Impacts:
• Highway 30
Highway 30 traffic will be detoured onto Blue Earth County Road 29 south of Mapleton from May 4 to late fall 2009.
• Highway 22
Highway 22 in Mapleton between Blue Earth County Road 7 (Central Avenue) and Highway 30 will also be affected for approximately two weeks for utility line installations. Starting May 4, Highway 22 will be detoured onto County Road 7 and County Road 29 for about one week to install a storm sewer line.
Project information:
The reconstruction project includes new underground sanitary sewer and water main utilities, storm sewer piping, street grading, sidewalks and new driving surface. The final surface will be applied in 2010 with minor impacts to traffic. The city of Mapleton is leading the project with Mn/DOT coordination.
