MANKATO, Minn. – The Winnebago portion of the repair work scheduled for Highway 169 is expected to begin May 8 and take two to three weeks with minor impacts to traffic, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Motorists will be detoured for the concrete repairs between Blue Earth and Winnebago in mid-May. The detour includes County Road 44 and County Road 11 and Highway 109.
The detour north of Winnebago that was planned for early June will not be needed this year. The concrete repairs north of Winnebago will be added to a future project and this year’s project will concentrate on more extensive improvements to Highway 169 south of Winnebago.
The entire project should be complete by mid-June.
Mn/DOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in the work zone and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones. For updated statewide traffic, construction and travel information visit www.511mn.org.
