Mankato, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be conducting aerial mapping of Highway 60 from Windom to St. James and Highway 109 from Winnebago to Wells between late March and mid-April. This mapping will create a record of existing infrastructure and landscape to be used for planning.
Mn/DOT paints or places large white x target marks on paved surfaces to get accurate aerial mapping. A survey crew then records the coordinate position and elevation of these targets and provides that information to the aerial photography company. The targets are temporary and will be removed when the photography is complete.
Mn/DOT is asking landowners to work around these targets until the photography is completed.
For more information, contact Mn/DOT survey staff at 507-304-6179 or 1-800-657-3747.
