Mankato, Minn. - Design staff from the Minnesota Department of Transportation plan to meet with landowners along State Highway 60 from north of Bigelow to south of the Worthington City limits on Thursday, November 29 anytime between 4 and 6 p.m. in the Farmers Room of the Nobles County Courthouse.
The Mn/DOT engineers working on the preliminary designs of a new four-lane Highway 60 in the rural section between Worthington and Bigelow want to discuss potential impacts to property with the landowners. The staff will have highway designs available and would like to discuss things like access and drainage prior to moving forward with the project.
Landowners are strongly encouraged to attend and anyone with an interest in the project is welcome.
The Highway 60 bypass of Bigelow is currently under construction and should be complete by the end of 2008. The Bigelow to Worthington project is not currently funded, but Mn/DOT District 7 is moving forward with the plans should funding become available in the future.
