Mankato, Minn. – Traffic on State Highway 71, from State Highway 30, to U.S. Highway 14, will be detoured for extensive work on the road surface, according to Ken Janovsky, project supervisor at the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The detour will be in effect from July 9 through in early September, using Highway 30, Cottonwood and Brown County Road 2, and Highway 14.

The project was awarded to Knish Corporation of Faribault for $2.5 million.
