Mankato, Minn. – A lengthy resurfacing project on State Highway 68 from New Ulm to Mankato will begin the week of May 2, according to Mn/DOT Project Supervisor Susan Museus.
Traffic will be controlled with flagging operations and motorists should expect some delays throughout the project, which is expected to be complete by mid-July.
Museus also reminds motorists to pay attention in the work zones. The mill and overlay on Highway 68 from Highway 15 in New Ulm to U.S. Highway 169 in Mankato will result in a moving work zone. Motorists need to be alert to workers, equipment and traffic control devices that will be continually changing.
The contract was awarded to Central Specialties, Incorporated of Alexandria with a bid of $3,952,000. The contract also includes guardrail work.
