The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced that the end dates for spring highway load limits in Minnesota will start in the south, southeast and Twin Cities metropolitan area frost zones at 12.01 a.m. on May 4.

In the central frost zone, spring weight limits will end at 12.01 a.m. on May 12.

On May 20, weight restrictions will end in the north-central and northern frost zones at 12:01 a.m.

The department will not issue permits for overweight loads during spring road restrictions.

Mn/DOT expects it will be able to issue summer overweight permits about three weeks after normal weight limits are restored in each zone.
