The Minnesota
Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) and its partners, Blue Earth
County, the City of Eagle Lake and the City of Mankato will hold
a public open house regarding long-term access plans on Highway
14 between Highway 22 in the City of Mankato and County Highway
27 in the City of Eagle Lake.
With the future
growth in the area and the traffic volumes increasing on Highway
14, officials are considering plans for Highway 14 to be a freeway
(no at-grade access points) in the future. Concepts of interchanges
will be shared at the meeting.
The open house
is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 9, from 6:00 to
8:00 pm at the Mankato National Guard Training & Community
Center, 100 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Mankato.
The meeting
will follow an informal, open house format. Project staff from
the study partners and the consultant team will be on available
to provide information and answer questions about potential improvements.
