open houses set for Mn/DOT long-range plans

Mankato, Minn.
- District 7 of the Minnesota Department of Transportation has
scheduled transportation long-range planning open houses to gather
public input:
Wednesday,
October 13
4 to 7 p.m.
Courtland Community Center
300 Railroad Street, Courtland
(coincides with Highway 14 New Ulm to North Mankato open house)
Monday, October 18
4 to 6 p.m.
Farmers Room, Nobles County Courthouse
315 10th Street, Worthington
The meetings
will focus on the draft long range (2008-2030) transportation
plan covering state and federal highways in the thirteen-county
area in south central and southwestern Minnesota. The plan is
performance based and assesses investment needs that meet the
department's adopted performance measures. General guidance used
to develop the district plans was shared at public meetings in
November 2003.
Business owners
and managers, developers, agency planners and others with an interest
in transportation are encouraged to attend anytime during the
open house and provide input into the draft plan.
