Mankato, Minn. - The safety project on State Highway 112 south of LeSueur should be completed by Friday, August 13 and the detour removed, according to Project Supervisor Nathan Gannon, at the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Highway 112 has been detoured to LeSueur County Roads 115 and 15.

The safety project included reconstructing the curve for a more gradual turn and realigning the connection with County Highway 23, and replacing a culvert about three miles east of the curve.

Southern Minnesota Construction of Mankato was prime contractor on the $890,000 project.
