Mankato,
Minn. - Spot milling and paving on Highway 264 to Round
Lake is expected to begin Friday, July 30 and on Interstate
90 east of Highway 264 on Monday, August 2, according to
Ken Janovsky, project supervisor at the Minnesota Department
of Transportation.
Motorists
should expect daytime lane closures on Highway 264 with
brief delays.
Restrictions
on westbound I-90 between Highway 264 and Highway 86 include
the closure of a driving lane and reduced speeds (40 mph
when under construction and 55 mph at night).
The
spot improvements will take one to two weeks. Southern Minnesota
Construction Company of Mankato was awarded the project
with a bid of $762,476.

advises motorists to reduce their speeds and be alert when
driving through a work zone! Fines are doubled.
