Mankato,
Minn. - The Minnesota Department of Transportation is planning
improvements to State Highway 22 from Blue Earth County
Highway 90 to Madison Avenue in Mankato in 2006 and invites
the public to attend an open house to review the project
on Thursday, August 5 from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Mn/DOT
office in Mankato at 501 South Victory Drive.
The
proposed project includes adding turn lanes, cutting down
the hill by Hungry Hollow Road to improve sight distance,
improving the intersection at County Road 82 and resurfacing.
Also proposed is extending left turn lanes on Highway 22
northbound at Adams Street, northbound at Madison Avenue,
southbound at Madison Avenue, and southbound at Bassett
Street.
