Mankato,
Minn. - State Highway 66 from Good Thunder to Mankato and
State Highway 99 from St. Peter to LeCenter are scheduled
to be seal coated in the next couple weeks, according to
Charlie Kremer, project supervisor at the Minnesota Department
of Transportation.
Motorists
need to be aware of loose rock on a roadway that has been
recently seal coated.
Weather
permitting the seal coating could take place as early as
mid to late next week. The seal coating process should only
take a day or two followed by the placement of an interim
stripe. Crews return in about one week to apply the final
stripe.
Traffic
will be managed with a flag person and motorists should
expect delays.
Mn/DOT
uses seal coating as a way of preserving the highway pavement
before it deteriorates, which results in saving dollars
on future repair work.
