The
detour consists of LeSueur County Roads 115 and 15 and will
be in place about two months.
The
safety project includes reconstructing the curve for a more
gradual turn and realigning the connection with County Highway
23.
In April,
Mn/DOT announced that the project would take place in July
and August, but the earlier dates worked better for Mn/DOT
and the contractor's schedules.
Southern
Minnesota Construction of Mankato was awarded the project
with a bid of $890,431.
