Mankato, Minn. - The Minnesota Department of Transportation has set an informational open house-style meeting to share information about the State Highway 59 reconstruction from Worthington to Fulda. Mn/DOT construction staff will be available from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27 at the Fulda City Hall at 102 3rd Street N. E.

Highway 59 between Worthington and Fulda is scheduled for construction from mid-May to September with traffic detoured to State Highway 62, Cottonwood County Road 19, Nobles County Road 1 and State Highway 60. Improvements include replacement of deteriorated pavement, new shoulders and a smoother surface, and turn lanes and wider shoulders in the Fulda area.

Anyone impacted by the construction or detour or interested in the project is encouraged to stop by the Fulda City Hall any time between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. to visit one on one with Mn/DOT staff.

The contractor was let to James Cape and Sons Company of Racine, Wisconsin for a bid of $3,144,165.
