PAUL, Minn.-Spring highway weight load restrictions in the
Twin Cities, southern and southeastern frost zones will
end April 19 at 12:01 a.m., the Minnesota Department of
Transportation announced.
Load
restrictions in the other zones-central, north-central and
northern-- remain in effect until further notice.
Mn/DOT
restricts truck weights during the spring to prevent damage
to highways weakened by moisture in the ground.

listing the routes that remain restricted can be found on
Mn/DOT's Web site at www.mrr.dot.state.mn.us
. To determine if a route is restricted or not, click on
"Seasonal Load Limits" and then on "Spring
Load Restrictions." The site also provides a text list
of restricted highway segments as well as specific route
exceptions.
