Hwy 258 in Brown County opens to traffic Sept. 17
New bridge project complete
MANKATO, Minn. – Motorists can once again travel Hwy 258 in Brown County beginning Monday, Sept. 17. The new bridge over the Cottonwood River has been constructed to replace the old hi-truss bridge.
Traffic has been detoured to county roads since April 30.
The $1.5 million project provides motorists with a new three-span, concrete girder bridge and a southbound turn lane at 200th Street for trucks entering the elevator facility.
The contractor was Robert R. Schroeder Construction Company of Glenwood.
