All ramps except the westbound off-ramp at 11th Drive Northeast (Exit 179) on I-90 in Austin will be closed beginning Sept. 5.
The closures are expected to last about three weeks, and are necessary for construction crews to build the intersections that connect with 11th Drive Northeast bridge with the ramps. Motorists may exit westbound I-90, but will need to follow detour signs to return to I-90. Eastbound motorists will be directed to ramps for the detour on that side of the bridge.

Long term detour and ramp detours at 11th Drive
About this project
Summary of work
Replacement of the bridge on 11th Drive over I-90 in Austin
Shared use trail and drainage improvements
The new bridge will be widened to accommodate two 12-foot lanes, two 8-foot shoulders and 10-foot sidewalk. The existing roadway alignment will remain the same. I-90 will remain open except when existing bridge is demolished and bridge beams are set. During those closures, traffic will be routed up and down the ramps on I-90. The bridge crossing will be closed and detoured for the duration of the project.
