  • Long term lane closures
  • Short term ramp detours

Update:

The paving work is north of Rochester in the Pine Island area as it continues to progress north.

There are significant traffic backups through the paving work zones during high-volume traffic periods such as mid-afternoon to early evening. Please plan for additional travel time for the slowed traffic.

Traffic ramps also might be closed for short periods when the paving operation passes past the off- and on-ramps of Hwy 52 or past access roads. The closures will be short in duration and should open after the paver has traveled past and the pavement condition is set and able to hold vehicle traffic.

You can follow all of the road construction work on Hwy 52 at this MnDOT website: http://www.dot.state.mn.us/d6/projects/hwy52corridor/index.html and sign up for email updates on the other projects you’re interested in receiving updates during construction.
