Hwy 52 detour lifted between Interstate 90 and Chatfield, paving continues

CHATFIELD, Minn. — The Hwy 52 detour has been lifted between Interstate 90 and Chatfield, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Motorists had been detoured since June 3 for culvert replacement work along Hwy 52. The detour was removed on Friday, Aug. 30. Paving work continues in areas between I-90 and Chatfield, while work in Chatfield includes paving, signal replacement and sidewalk improvements for people who are walking and biking. Flaggers will be stopping traffic for short periods during paving work so each direction of traffic takes turns in the open lane that’s not being paved at the time.
