10-day bridge lane closure over Hwy 63 in south Rochester planned Aug. 19
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Motorists on the 48th Street South bridge over Hwy 52 in Rochester will encounter single-lane traffic in each direction beginning Monday, Aug. 19, so crews can complete repairs, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
MnDOT bridge maintenance crews will be repairing concrete joints in the bridge deck and repairing approach joints, requiring the left lane in each direction to be closed. The work is expected to be completed by Aug. 29. Traffic barrels and barricades will be in place to guide motorists and protect MnDOT crews doing the work.
MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
