MnDOT to host Hwy 52 southbound improvement project meeting Oct. 29
CANNON FALLS, Minn. – The public is invited to attend an open house at 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29 at the Urland Lutheran Church, 6940 County 9 Blvd, Cannon Falls, MN 55009 to learn about improvements on southbound Highway 52 south of Cannon Falls to north of Zumbrota, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The two-year construction project is scheduled to start in spring 2021, and the project will include replacement of the bridges in Zumbrota at Highway 52, Highway 60 (west) and Highway 60 (east). It may potentially include intersection improvements at Highway 57/Goodhue County Road 8 in Hader. Approximately 16 miles of the southbound lanes of Highway 52 will be reconstructed. Additional safety and access management measures will be investigated during the upcoming design phase.
MnDOT staff are interested in sharing the details of the project with area motorists and residents. The meeting will provide an opportunity to learn more about the planned work, ask questions and learn how to stay connected.
