Detour, delays expected in Rochester for 41st Street bridge concrete repair at Hwy 52
Motorists will be detoured around the 41st Street Northwest bridge over Highway 52 in Rochester from Saturday, Sept. 8 to Monday, Sept. 10, while Minnesota Department of Transportation crews repair concrete on the bridge deck and repair deck joints.
Crews will be doing the bridge deck maintenance work beginning Saturday morning, Sept. 8 and should be completed by the morning of Monday, Sept. 10, weather permitting. If weather cancels the work, MnDOT will attempt to complete it the following weekend, Sept. 15-18.
During the work, motorists will be detoured. Motorists needing to cross 41st Street Northwest at the Highway 52 bridge should use 55th Street Northwest on the east side of Highway 52 and 37th Street Northwest on the west side of Highway 52.
The work will repair and extend the life of the bridge in northwest Rochester.
MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
