ROCHESTER, Minn. — Motorists on Hwy 52 between Hwy 63 in Rochester and I-90 will encounter single lane traffic, ramp detours and delays beginning Monday, July 9 as crews pave Hwy 52, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Crews will pave all lanes of northbound and southbound Hwy 52 from just south of Hwy 63 in Rochester to Interstate 90. Additionally, crews will extend the turn lane onto eastbound I-90, add high tension cable barrier and repair two bridges at the Hwy 52/I-90 interchange.
Rochester Sand and Gravel of Rochester, Minn. is the prime contractor on this $6.6 million project. Construction is expected to be completed in late fall of 2018.
Motorists will encounter single lane traffic, lane changes and short duration ramp closures during the construction work. Traffic delays are expected.
