Open house set Nov. 27 for Highway 63 paving project north of Rochester
ROCHESTER, Minn. – The public is invited to an open house Monday, Nov. 27 at the Cascade Township Hall to learn more about the Highway 63 paving project scheduled in 2018, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The meeting will be held from 4:30-6 p.m., Monday, Nov. 27 at Cascade Township Hall, 2025 75th St. NE, Rochester. The building is to the west of the roundabout at Highway 63 and 75h Street Northeast.
Motorists and residents in the region can learn more about the details of the project, including access to homes and businesses during the project, detour routes and improvements planned. The meeting is a follow-up to an open house held in October to give people another opportunity to learn about the project, if they missed the earlier meeting.
MnDOT is planning to resurface Hwy 63 from the Hwy 63/75th St. NW roundabout near Rochester to the Zumbro River bridge in Zumbro Falls beginning in mid-May of 2018. The highway will be paved with concrete and four culverts across Hwy 63 will be replace. It is expected to be completed in late August, weather permitting. A separate project for blacktop repaving work and culvert replacements is scheduled for Hwy 63 from the Zumbro River bridge in Zumbro Falls north to Wabasha County Road 78, north of Oak Center.
