Five-day westbound I-90 lane closure begins near Austin for concrete repairs
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Westbound Interstate 90 motorists near Austin will encounter a right lane closure beginning on Monday, Oct. 24, as crews repair concrete pavement, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The right lane of westbound I-90 will be closed from exit 175 (near Hwy 105 in west Austin) to exit 163 (near Hayward) as crews repair the pavement. Work is expected to be completed by 3:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28.
In places, the pavement will be removed and replaced. During the process the lane will have gaps and breaks, which is why traffic will be restricted to a single lane in the westbound lanes. No restrictions will be placed for eastbound traffic.
