Newly remodeled Rochester MnDOT district headquarters public open house set June 13

ROCHESTER, Minn. — The public is invited to an open house for the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s newly remodeled District 6 headquarters building in Rochester.

The event is scheduled for 3 - 6 p.m. on Monday, June 13, at the Rochester headquarters, 2900 48th St. NW. Parking is available on the north side of the building off 48th Street Northwest. Visitors may park to the right (west) as they enter the parking area. Entrance to the building is near the flag poles.

Visitors can tour the remodeled headquarters, meet MnDOT staff and learn about the work that various MnDOT personnel do each day to improve transportation and safety in southeast Minnesota.

The remodeled facility is 130,000 square feet. Construction work began in 2014 and final work was completed in 2016. A maintenance building was built in 2012 and was connected to the headquarters building during the most recent construction project.
