Lane closure for southbound Hwy 61 bridge in Winona begins June 20

ROCHESTER, Minn. – Southbound Highway 61 motorists in Winona will encounter a right lane closure between Jefferson Street and Bundy Boulevard beginning on June 20 while concrete repairs are conducted on a bridge, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Crews will begin work at 8 a.m., Monday, June 20 and will complete the repairs to the bridge deck by 4 p.m., Monday, June 27, weather permitting. A width limit of 8 feet, 6 inches is in effect during the construction work.

Motorists in Winona may encounter brief traffic slowdowns during the construction. The lane closures will continue overnight during the week.

MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
