Hwy 57 retaining wall restoration begins in Mantorville on June 1
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Motorists will encounter some shifts in the driving lanes on Highway 57 in Mantorville beginning June 1 as construction begins on the reconstruction and restoration of a retaining wall in the city, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The work will also shift pedestrian traffic along the block and the route will be marked. The contractor, Environmental Associates Inc., of Willmar, is doing the work and historic restoration for the $1.3 million project that is expected to be completed by Sept. 30.
MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
