Brief eastbound I-90 closures planned Jan. 21 at Dresbach bridge to move crane
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Eastbound Interstate 90 motorists will encounter brief delays at night on Thursday, Jan. 21 as traffic is periodically stopped so a construction crane can be moved at the Dresbach bridge project site, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The crane moving is scheduled to begin at 9:45 p.m. Traffic will be stopped for about 15 minutes at a time and then vehicles will be allowed through before the next traffic stoppage. Work is expected to be completed by 11 p.m.
The $187.5 million river bridge project is a cooperative effort between the Minnesota and Wisconsin departments of transportation and will continue into the fall. The project includes constructing a new I-90 crossing over the Mississippi River and reconstructing the Highway 61/14 and the I-90 interchange.
MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
