Lane closures, flaggers during Hwy 63 culvert work in Olmsted, Wabasha counties
ROCHESTER, Minn. — Motorists on Hwy 63 north of Rochester will encounter flaggers and lane closures during the next few weeks as crews work to clean and line culverts underneath the roadway, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The work is taking place near the intersection of Hwy 247 north to the Zumbro Falls area. Workers are expected to be along this stretch of the highway through the week of July 14. To safely complete the work and ensure motorist safety, lanes will be closed at times during the day and flaggers will direct traffic.
With this project, MnDOT is working to preserve an efficient and effective transportation system.
MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work and emergency zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
