Public meeting on I-90 concrete overlay project set for June 25 in St. Charles

ROCHESTER, Minn. – The public is invited to learn more about the Interstate 90 concrete overlay project at a public open house on Wednesday, June 25.

The open house is scheduled for 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at St. Charles City Hall, 830 Whitewater Ave., St. Charles, MN 55972

Representatives from the Minnesota Department of Transportation will be available to answer questions and provide information about the concrete overlay on the westbound lanes and other aspects of the estimated $15 million project, which is scheduled for construction in June 2015 along 12 miles of I-90.

The project will overlay concrete on the westbound lanes, as well as the westbound ramps at Olmsted County Road 7, Olmsted County Road 10 and Highway 74. The westbound bridge over Highway 74 will also be rehabilitated. The project will improve drainage, as well. With this project, MnDOT is working to preserve an efficient and effective transportation system in southeastern Minnesota.
