Temporary Hwy 61 ramp closure at Interstate 90 scheduled Tuesday at Dresbach
ROCHESTER, Minn. — Motorists will encounter a temporary ramp closure on northbound Hwy 61 to eastbound Interstate 90 on Tuesday as crews prepare for future lighting work, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Ames Construction will be closing the ramp from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 6 to install temporary facilities for temporary lighting. The ramp will open sooner if crews are able to complete the work sooner.
The work is related to the I-90 Dresbach Bridge project, which includes improvements to Hwy ramps.
The westbound I-90 ramp to get to southbound Hwy 61 remains closed along with the Dresbach rest area and traveler information center and won’t open until 2016. For more information on the project go to the MnDOT project page at www.dot.state.mn.us/dresbachbridge/index.html. There is also a Facebook page at www.facebook.com/DresbachBridge.
MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
