Listening session scheduled for May 27 for Red Wing Bridge Project
Rochester, Minnesota – The public can learn more about the Red Wing Bridge Project and discuss it with the Minnesota Department of Transportation project team on Tuesday, May 27 from 4-6 p.m. at the Red Wing Public Library.
The visual quality process is underway to design the look of the recommended bridge type and the Purpose and Need is being revised in order to provide additional emphasis on addressing mobility issues.
Along with working toward a recommendation for the Minnesota approach roadway, MnDOT is setting the stage for the next major project phase, which includes the environmental impact review.
The Red Wing Public Library is at 225 East Ave., in downtown Red Wing.

MnDOT urges motorists to follow these recommendations in work zones:
• Stay alert
• Watch for signs, equipment and workers
• Minimize distractions, such as using cell phones, eating or drinking
• Avoid tailgating
• Follow posted speed limits and directional signs
• Stay in one lane while driving through a work zone
