Construction activities continue on I-90 Dresbach Bridge project March 18
Dresbach Travel Information Center closed to semi-trucks

ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Dresbach Travel Information Center (TIC) will close to semi-trucks beginning Monday, March 18 as construction activities continue for the Interstate 90 Bridge project.

Parts of the TIC are being used as a staging area for the project, and it will remain closed to semi-trucks for the duration of the project. The TIC will remain open to all other users for the entire 2013 construction season.

Access to the US Fish and Wildlife (USFWS) boat launch from the TIC will also close Monday, March 18 as construction begins on the new access road and the west bridge abutment for the new I-90 bridge. The USFWS boat launch is scheduled to open in mid-November.

The Department of Natural Resources boat landing at the site is expected to remain open at all times during the project.

This $187.5 million project is a cooperative effort between the Minnesota and Wisconsin Department of Transportation agencies, and is a multi-year project expected to continue through 2016. The project includes constructing a new I-90 crossing over the Mississippi River and reconstructing the Highway 61/14 and I-90 interchange.

The new I-90 river crossing will meet current structural and geometric standards, and the new interchange will improve traffic safety, capacity and access on and between Highway 61/14 and I-90.
