I-90 traffic switch at Dresbach Bridge begins Nov. 14

ROCHESTER, Minn. – Motorists will encounter new traffic patterns on Interstate 90 on  both sides the Dresbach Bridge, beginning Thursday, Nov. 14, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Both directions of traffic were previously routed on both westbound lanes. The new traffic pattern will route motorists on one eastbound and one westbound lane as crews conduct barrier and cleanup work.

Motorists will continue to encounter temporary lane closures as work continues while weather permits. All lane restrictions will be lifted for the winter.

This $187.5 million project is a cooperative effort between the Minnesota and Wisconsin departments of Transportation and will continue through 2016. The project includes constructing a new I-90 crossing over the Mississippi River and reconstructing the Highway 61/14 and I-90 interchange.

The new I-90 river crossing will meet current structural and geometric standards, and the new interchange will improve traffic safety, capacity and access on and between Highway 61/14 and I-90.
