Intermittent nighttime delays on Highway 52 in Cannon Falls begins Sept. 16
ROCHESTER, Minn. — Motorists can expect nighttime delays Monday, Sept. 16, and Tuesday, Sept. 17, when Highway 52 in Cannon Falls closes intermittently while crews work on the new bridge over the freeway.
Lanes in both directions will close for up to 15-minute intervals beginning at 10 p.m., and continuing to 5 a.m., weather permitting.
The work on Highway 52 is part of the two-year interchange construction, which will include removing the last two signals on Highway 52 between Rochester and the Twin Cities.
SM Hentges and Sons, Inc., is the prime contractor for the $14.3 million project.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
