Highway 43 construction in Winona County began Aug. 19
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Motorists may experience single-lane traffic on Highway 43 between Interstate 90 and Highway 61 as crews conduct culvert repairs and make pedestrian accessibility improvements.
Following the culvert repairs, motorists can expect single-lane traffic on Highway 43 between I-90 and Highway 61 as crews begin resurfacing.
Flaggers will control traffic throughout the project, which is scheduled to continue through early October, weather permitting.
When the project is complete, motorists will experience a smoother ride surface and a safer highway.
Dunn Blacktop, a division of Mathy Construction, is the prime contractor for the project.
This project is tied to the resurfacing project on I-90 westbound between Highway 76 and the Winona County Road 12 overpass.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
