MnDOT Public meeting about Highway 43 Winona Bridge project set for Aug. 12
ROCHESTER, Minn. – The public is invited to learn more about the project scope, cost, schedule, construction staging and the bridge type recommendations for the Highway 43 Winona Bridge project at a public meeting Monday, Aug. 12.
The open house is scheduled for 4 - 6 p.m., at the Winona Armory, 1303 Homer Road, Winona, Minn.
A formal presentation will begin at 5 p.m.
Representatives from the Minnesota Department of Transportation will be available to answer questions and provide information regarding the project updates, including the historical review process that was an important part of selection of the a concrete segmental box girder bridge for the new bridge structure.
“There have been significant developments recently regarding the Winona Bridge project and this will be a great opportunity for the Winona community to come ask questions and get up to date on the project, said project manager Terry Ward. We will have members of our historical review team there to address any questions regarding the Cultural Resources phase of the project, including the involvement of the Federal Highway Administration and State Historical Preservation Office.
