Lane restrictions on I-90 Mississippi River bridge near Dresbach begin Aug. 6
ROCHESTER, Minn. — Motorists traveling on Interstate 90 over the Mississippi River near Dresbach will encounter temporary lane closures and delays beginning Monday, Aug. 6, as crews conduct an annual bridge inspection.
The equipment needed to conduct the inspection requires a lane closure, and traffic will reduce to a single lane controlled by flaggers from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. All lanes will be open each evening after the inspectors complete their work.
The lane closure will begin on eastbound I-90 and then switch to the westbound lanes.
The lane closures will remain in effect through Friday, Aug. 10, weather permitting.
Crews annually conduct routine inspections of this bridge and other Mississippi River bridges; an in-depth inspection takes place once every other year.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
