I-90 bridge beam repair near Albert Lea begins Nov. 28

 

ROCHESTER, Minn. — Motorists will experience lanes closures on southbound Highway 13 near Albert Lea beginning Wednesday, Nov. 28, as crews repair a beam on the Interstate 90 bridge over the highway.
                                        

The beam repair will be completed by Tuesday, Dec. 4, weather permitting.

The beam was damaged after a truck hauling farm equipment hit the I-90 bridge. Crews will use a heat straightening method to repair the damaged beam.
                                                            

The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
