MnDOT identifies Ames Construction as I-90 Dresbach Bridge project apparent low bidder
ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation identified Ames Construction of Burnsville, Minn., as the apparent low bidder for the Interstate 90 Dresbach Bridge project. The bid amount is $187.5 million.
MnDOT will take the next 30 days to review Ames Construction’s proposal to ensure all work, costs and goals meet standards before officially awarding the contract.
The project includes constructing a new I-90 crossing over the Mississippi River and reconstructing the Highway 61/14 and I-90 interchange.
The new I-90 river crossing will meet current structural and geometric standards, and the new interchange will improve traffic safety, capacity and access on and between Highway 61/14 and I-90.
Dresbach Bridge project construction is scheduled to begin in 2013 and continue through 2016. MnDOT is looking forward to working with all local partners on this project.
