Highway 61 remains closed in Lake City
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Highway 61 in Lake City will remain closed in both directions through Friday, March 23, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Detour Highway 61 southbound:
West on Dakota Street, south on Oak Street and back to Highway 61 southbound.
Detour Highway 61 northbound:
North on Oak Street, east on Wisconsin Street and back to Highway 61 northbound.
The closure is necessary as crews excavate the roadway for water main repairs. Once the road is excavated, it will be replaced with gravel until temperatures are warm enough for crews to pave.
