Highway 52 wayside rest area near Preston will close July 9 for restoration
ROCHESTER, Minn. — The Highway 52 wayside rest area near Preston will close beginning Monday, July 9, as crews begin site restoration of the historic overlook.
The wayside rest area will remain closed until the project is complete in late September.
Environmental Associates is the prime contractor for the $529,000 project, funded by the Scenic By-Ways grant.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
