Highway 42 bridge replacement in Wabasha County begins June 4
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Crews will begin replacing the Highway 42 bridge over the White Water River near Elgin beginning Monday, June 4, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The new bridge will be built half at a time. Traffic will be controlled with a temporary signal.
The new bridge will be wider and include pedestrian facilities. The project is expected to be complete in early October, weather permitting.
Vista Design and Construction, LLC, is the prime contractor for the $1.3 million project.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
